Dogs welcome | Private hot tubs | Enclosed patios
Bring the dog. All three of our cottages welcome up to two well-behaved dogs, and each one has its own private hot tub on an enclosed patio, so nobody has to be left at home. We're a working family farm in the middle of Suffolk, with footpaths starting right by the cottages and a secure dog field a short drive away for off-lead runs.

We'd like your dog to settle in as quickly as you do, so when you open the door you'll find:
You might also spot Margo, our golden retriever, riding round the farm in the tractor with Jeremy.
Each cottage has its own private hot tub on a patio closed in by fencing and railings. It keeps all but the very smallest dogs in, so yours can potter about and settle down while you sit in the hot tub or eat outside on a summer evening. If your dog is tiny or a bit of an escape artist, please keep an eye on them, as the moat is close by.
Public footpaths start right by the farm and cross the fields towards Bildeston and Hitcham, so you can set off without getting in the car. You'll find a map of the routes on our Things to do page. Because this is a working farm, with gamebirds and other wildlife in the fields and hedgerows, please keep your dog on a lead on the footpaths and whenever you're out on the farm.
We don't have a fully enclosed exercise field at Wattisham Hall, but our good friends at High Hounds do. Their secure dog field is at Highfields Farm in Battisford, a short drive away near Stowmarket, and you have the whole field to yourselves for your session, so there's no worrying about other dogs. You book a 25 or 55 minute slot on their website. We know them well and they're people we trust.
If you book all three cottages for a family get-together or a weekend with friends, each cottage can still take up to two dogs. That's room for up to 19 people and six dogs around one courtyard, with three private hot tubs between you. Read more about group stays, including how we can set up a table in Tithe Barn so everyone can eat together.
This is a working farm and our home, and we want every guest to enjoy their stay, including the ones without dogs. So we ask that you follow a few simple rules.
