Our Location

Wattisham Hall Holiday Cottages are situated in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, with close road links to the A14 & A12 so easy to get to from London and the South or the north, west and the Midlands.

Wattisham Hall lends itself to being easily in reach of historic places such as Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham and The Dedham Vale –  ‘Constable Country’. On our doorstep we have beautiful Bildeston, – which boasts the free ‘B Natural’ music festival in September, the bustling market town of Hadleigh – famous for its own ‘Suffolk Show’, just before the county event, every May. Not to be missed is the picture postcard village of Monks Eleigh, similar in charm to the much-photographed Cavendish, near Clare and Long Melford.

If its beach you are after, there is Felixstowe beyond Ipswich where you can get the foot ferry across to Bawdsey. If you love boats, do visit Levington, across the water from Pin Mill where ‘Swallows and Amazons’ was written. Further north you will find the jewels in Suffolk’s crown, the glorious coast that is Aldeburgh, Southwold and Walberswick.

Cambridge, Colchester and Norwich are also not far away and offer some great days out.
